Fun with Frogs Victoria
Event description
Join Frogs Victoria and the Nangak Tamboree Wildlife Sanctuary for a family-friendly froggy event at the start of the September school holidays!
Activities will include a frog-themed scavenger hunt around the Wildlife Sanctuary and its wetlands, frog calling activity, and a brief slide show beforehand. There are also some great prizes to be won!
This event is designed for for middle-upper primary aged children (9-12yr olds), although they will be something for parents, younger and older siblings too.
Please note, adult supervision is required.
This event is run in collaboration with Frogs Victoria as part of Banyule's Spring Outdoors program.
FAQs
What animals will we see?
We are a true wildlife sanctuary so all animals within the Sanctuary are wild and free to move around; as such, we can not guarantee that you will see any wildlife.
What do I need to bring?
Please dress appropriately for the weather (eg. appropriate footwear - no thongs or heels).
What happens if it rains?
Wildlife don't mind a little bit of rain, so the event will go ahead even if light showers are expected. We may cancel in the event of extreme weather conditions (eg. high winds or heavy rainfall); but we will contact you directly if this occurs.
How can I get in touch with any questions?
If you have any questions, please contact us on (03) 9479 1206 or wildlife@latrobe.edu.au
