Functional analysis using Ingenuity Pathway Analysis (May 2026)
Description
*Please register by Friday 22nd, May to receive a training account on IPA to use during the workshop.
This workshop will introduce you to Ingenuity Pathway Analysis (IPA), a powerful tool that helps you make sense of your omics data. In this workshop you'll get a practical, hands-on introduction to how IPA can help you move beyond raw data and start uncovering the biological story behind your results.
What you'll learn:
How to upload your data into IPA and run a Core Analysis
How to identify relevant signalling and metabolic pathways and molecular networks linked to your gene/protein list
How to explore potential upstream regulators, such as transcription factors, that may be driving your results
How to look at downstream effects on biological and disease processes
How to compare pathways and phenotypes across different experimental conditions
By the end of this session, you'll have a solid foundation for using IPA in your own research, whether you're working with transcriptomics, proteomics, or other omics datasets.
FAQs
What should I bring into the event?
This is an online workshop, so you will need to provide your own computer and have access to a reliable internet connection sufficient for video conferencing. A second monitor is highly recommended.
What prior experience do I need?
No prior experience necessary, this is an introductory level workshop.
Who should attend?
This workshop is designed for biologists and other life scientists working with biological data.
How can I contact the organiser with any questions?
You can email training@qcif.edu.au.
What's the cancellation policy?
Cancellations are accepted up to three working days before the start of the workshop. If you are a using a QCIF member ticket and do not join on the day without having cancelled beforehand, you may be blocked from attending any future QCIF training workshops.
