Trees and biodiversity can increase your on-farm productivity, but it’s not free to put trees in the ground. Carbon and biodiversity markets are opening up new possibilities for planting and protecting our native environments. This webinar will look at different options to fund sustainability on your farm.

It will also provide an overview of the power sustainable and low emission products have on the market. Nationally and internationally supply chains are looking for low emissions products, so understanding market drivers can help ensure farming operations are profitable and sustainable for years to come.

Graeme Anderson
Graeme is a science communicator and extension leader within Victoria’s agriculture sector. He leads a small team who deliver climate change services supporting farmers and advisors in making sense of emerging issues associated with climate change and how to adapt our local farm systems.

Krista Patterson-Majoor
Krista has had a long career in environmental management in Victoria, ranging from planting thousands of native plants on farms with young people to developing state-wide policy. She has worked for community-based organisations, as well as local and state government. Her favourite thing is to see local projects come to fruition that make a difference to landscapes and the people and creatures that live in them. This has been made more real than ever in her current role as BushBank Project Manager with Cassinia Environmental. In her spare time, Krista volunteers with Landcare and explores wild places with her family in all sorts of adventurous ways.

Laura Grubb

Laura has a deep passion for showcasing the sustainability of beef production. Originally hailing from Western Australia, Laura has been fortunate to have worked with producers across all states in Australia and internationally. Through a variety of roles over the past 10 years, Laura has been able to foster her passion for helping producers to translate customer trends into on farm practices that support healthy businesses. Last year Laura joined Greenham, a family owned and operated beef processing business with plants in Victoria and Tasmania.

Ric Oldham

Ric founded Farmers 4 Farmers with a vision to empower farmers creating thriving farming communities building climate-resilient, profitable enterprises that are appropriately recognised and rewarded for their efforts to regenerate landscape function at scale whilst protecting and strengthening farming families.  A professional Civil Engineer and 30-year Angus beef breeder at Archies Creek, Ric brings proven leadership from his 47 year career as a national and international construction executive, a four-term Chair of Bass Coast Landcare Network, founding member and three-term President of Bass Valley Landcare Group, and current Landcare Victoria Treasurer. He champions regenerative agriculture that delivers improved productivity reduced emissions, and enhanced landscape function for generations to come.
