The People of Nepal Still Need Our Help – Together, We Can Make a Difference

Even though much of the news cycle has moved on, families', children’s, parents’ and grandparents’ lives have been turned upside down.

From Sydney's Northern Beaches to the mountains and villages of Nepal, we're coming together to make a difference.

Join us for an evening where we will celebrate the people and beautiful nature of Nepal, as told by adventurers, charity workers and storytellers who have experienced the magic of the Nawakot and Rasuwa districts. You will also get to enjoy traditional Nepalese and Indian food in a beautiful setting, all for a great cause.

Why?

Devastating floods and landslides have torn through communities in Nepal, leaving families facing unimaginable loss. 1,400 have been killed by the floods, 5,300 people are still missing, and over 32,000 children and 84,000 people’s lives have been affected. Over 7,500 homes have been destroyed, livelihoods swept away, and vulnerable families left struggling to access the basic necessities of life.

The road to recovery will be long, but the people of this peaceful region don't have to face it alone.

Our Northern Beaches community is rallying to raise vital funds to support flood-affected families in Nepal, helping provide much-needed relief and hope to those who have lost so much.

Join us on the 12th November, from 6pm – 8.30pm, at Narrabeen Surf Life Saving Club to show the people of Nepal that, even from thousands of kilometres away, they are not alone.

Why your support matters

Your generosity can help support humanitarian relief efforts through The Australian Himalayan Foundation, including:

·      Shelter and essential supplies for those displaced from their homes.

·      Emergency food and clean drinking water for families in need.

·      Medical assistance and basic necessities for vulnerable communities.

·      Recovery and rebuilding efforts to help families get back on their feet.

We are fortunate to live in a community that understands the power of looking after one another. Now we have an opportunity to extend that spirit of generosity beyond our shores.

Event Schedule

• 6 pm - 6:30 pm: Indian/Nepalese dinner, drinks and time to connect

• 6:30 pm - 7:40 pm: Talk with Special Guest and The Australian Himalayan Foundation on the magic of the Nepalese Himalayas and people, and how the money we raise will help families and people in need in the region.

• 7:40 pm - 8 pm: Auction and raffle

• 8 pm - 8:30 pm: Drinks and time to connect

• 8:30 pm: Event ends

Ticket Inclusions

Your ticket includes:

• Admission to the event.

• Food. Indian and Nepalese dishes provided by The Spice Bazaar, Narrabeen.

Note: Alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks will be available through the licensed, pay bar at the venue.

Parking

Parking is available at Northern Beaches Surf Lifesaving Club (free for Northern Beaches Parking Permit Holders)

Roadside parking is also available.
