Fundraisers on the Hill
Event description
Join us for a dynamic two-day event in our nations capital to amplify the voices of fundraisers and shine a spotlight on the transformative power of our profession. Whether you're a seasoned advocate or just stepping into the world of policy influence, there's something here for you.
Registration for the inaugural Fundraisers on the Hill is now open!
Fundraisers on the Hill (FOTH), taking place on November 20th & 21st 2024 in Canberra, is an opportunity to discuss the fundraising profession with lawmakers and their staff. With the government committed to doubling fundraising by 2030, FOTH will seek to promote a broader advocacy agenda that will enhance the impact of fundraising and the continued professionalisation of our sector.
Presented by Fundraise for Australia, this year's Fundraisers on the Hill will offer opportunities to build relationships with lawmakers and boost your knowledge of advocacy work. There will be a half day of programming on November 20 ahead of Hill visits the following morning. A full agenda of the event, including speakers will be made available soon.
The Fundraise for Australia team will work with you and other attendees from your state to schedule visits at Australian Parliament House (APH) and provide you with the information and materials you need to be successful in raising awareness of the profession with elected officials.
The tentative agenda is as follows;
Day One (November 20th): Ignite Your Advocacy Skills - Kick off with immersive advocacy training sessions designed to empower you with the tools and confidence to make a difference. Learn from experts, engage in thought-provoking panels, and discover innovative strategies to champion a better fundraising profession. The evening will include a welcome event and also coincide with the graduation of a new Canberra cohort of fundraisers!
Day Two (November 21st): Make Your Mark on the Hill - Put your training into action! Meet with elected officials, share your stories, and advocate for policies that support the vital work of fundraisers everywhere. This is your chance to influence change at the highest levels and ensure our voices are heard.
Tickets are $250 with all proceeds supporting Fundraise for Australia to ensure their core training program continues to always be free for those seeking a career in fundraising.
Network with fellow fundraisers, gain invaluable insights, and leave inspired to take your advocacy to the next level. Together, we'll make history on the Hill.
After you register for Fundraisers on the Hill, you will also receive a webinar, "Get Ready for Fundraisers on the Hill." Where we’ll review this year’s schedule, discuss how to get the most out of your visits to APH, and go over the key messages to deliver to lawmakers this year.
