Awwww yeah, my cosmic creatures of the groove, get ready to beam down and boogie under the eerie glow of the Appalachian moonlight, ‘cause Funktafest 9 is shapeshifting into two whole days of sonic exploration and supernatural vibes! We’re crankin’ the mothership up higher than ever before with a weekend full of funky frequencies, mystical energy, and soul-shaking rhythm deep in the heart of Huntington, West Virginia.

Our legendary duo Funkle Sam and Eyeguy are your guides once again, leading you through a portal of jam-heavy, rock-fused, funkadelic soundscapes. Expect electrifying sets from the region’s top groove-makers, plus otherworldly surprises that might just send a chill down your spine—or a shake through your soul.

Here’s what’s in the funky forest this year:

• Two Days of Live Music: Jam, funk, rock, soul, and the grooviest blends of each, performed by the best in the scene.

• Flow & Fire Artists: Watch the sparks fly and maybe even learn some tricks yourself at our interactive workshops.

• Funky Kidz Korner: A creative zone for the little funkateers, fully interactive, imaginative, and safe. (Saturday Only!)

• FunkYoga: Stretch your aura and align your chakras with sessions from the area’s best yogis. (Saturday Only!)

• Arts & Crafts Village: Local makers bring the magic, handmade goods, wild visuals, and one-of-a-kind creations.

• Craft Beer & Food Vendors: Treat your taste buds with a wide selection of eats and brews.

• Visual Artists & Live Art: Experience the music as it’s painted before your eyes.

• Silent Disco Area: Strap on a headset and get lost in a DJ-led dimension of rhythm and light. (Saturday Only!)

• Funky Disc Golf: Enjoy a short round of pitch and putt disc golf with your buds nestled in the scenic landscape of Ritter Park's rolling hills.

Whether you’re drawn by the beat or something more mysterious lurking behind the trees, this celebration of sound, spirit, and strangeness is calling your name. You may even feel those glowing red eyes watching from the hills…

Get your early bird tickets now, single-day and weekend passes available for General Admission and VIP. Children 12 and under get in free with a supervising adult. Furry friends are welcome on leashes, but leave those coolers at home (sealed water bottles only).
