Event description

Bower Reuse and Repair Centres offers a selection of Refurbishment courses for those who are interested in undertaking restoration and refurbishment projects around the home.

Our Furniture Repair and Restoration course will provide participants with basic skills and an understanding of timber furniture repair. The course covers tools and techniques, methodology, and ethical vs financial considerations. By the end of this workshop participants will have sufficient understanding and confidence to tackle simple projects on their own (with a little help from google).

Participants are encouraged to bring in refurb projects from home. The sessions will revolve around the breaking down and reassembly of one standard timber chair, with other exercises mixed in throughout the day. Our facilitators can advise you on how these techniques can be applied to your own projects.

1 day workshop on 7th of June 2025.

A finished product is not guaranteed, but you will be well on your way!
