Future Imperfect II - Signals from Seoul
Description
Future Imperfect welcomes K.O.P 32 for his debut Sydney appearance. Hailing from Seoul, K.O.P. 32 is a luminary of the hypnotic, ritual sound we represent. As boss of Beyond The Bridge he's recently hosted the likes of Speki Webu, Gi, and Kaisei.
As an artist in his own right, K.O.P. 32 wields modular squelches as deftly as he does primal percussion, with signings on Seismic, Stagno, a-biotic and Annulled, his unique brand of ritual groove will be well known to anyone who lives in the space between tribe, bass, trance and techno.
On 8 November K.O.P. 32 will grace us with a live set in one of Sydney's most beloved underground locations alongside some of the best locals our city has to offer.
Future Imperfect top boy Ph0neme will preside over the opening ritual with a melange of fast, hypnotic and primal techno and dubstep. Is it 170? Is it 85? These are the deeper mysteries he’ll explore, but by the end you’ll be lost in the wobble, whoosh and squelch.
Alison Belle will be stepping in to heat the dance floor even further with her trademark hypnotic depthiness. A well known fixture of the Sydney scene and a regular at parties like Raw, Church Of Techno, and Undisclosed, Alison has recent releases on Deeptakt and Modern Minimal, as well as her debut at Hoer to celebrate this year.
We originally had Sofia Gonzalez closing but regrettably need to move her to a gig next year due to conflicting commitments - so that’s one to look forward to. But stepping in to fill the gap is Sydney’s mighty, recently returned Eastern Distributor.
Renowned from Australia to Europe for releases on Pure Space (e.g. Root Mender - the most inescapable closing track of the last few years if you ask us), Amniote, Flux, De Rio, and many more of the most forward thinking labels of the mid 2020s, Eastern Distributor/Jörmungandr needs little introduction. He’ll be closing out our df in the most glorious fashion possible with his deep, percussive and soundscape driven techno and bass.
Location will be sent to ticket holders on the night.
