Speakers
Anne Fuchs, Acting Chief People and Impact Officer, Australian Retirement Trust
Anne joined Australian Retirement Trust in 2015 and is currently Acting Chief People and Impact Officer. In this role, she leads ART’s People and Culture, Legal, Secretariat and Accountability, and Advocacy and Impact teams. She brings more than 25 years' experience in financial services, including senior roles at the Association of Financial Advisers, ING Australia and Bankers Trust. Throughout her career, Anne has led teams and functions spanning advice, guidance, education and retirement. Before becoming Acting Chief People and Impact Officer, Anne was ART’s Executive General Manager, Advocacy and Impact, with responsibility for Corporate Affairs, Public Policy and Government Relations, and Strategic Campaigns. Anne holds a Bachelor of Arts and an Advanced Diploma of Financial Services (Financial Planning) and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Dalene Wray AM JP, Managing Director, OBE Organics
Dalene is Managing Director at OBE Organic and Deputy Chair of Regional Development Australia Moreton Bay and Sunshine Coast. She grew up in the outback town of Birdsville, starting her career as a radiographer before travelling and working across the UK, Europe, Beijing and Hong Kong, ultimately joining the organic beef industry and creating opportunities for Australian exporters in Asia and the Middle East. She is a passionate advocate for women in the agriculture industry.
Dr Terrance Fitzsimmons PhD (UQ) MBA(Adv) BEc CA
Dr Fitzsimmons is an Associate Professor in Leadership with the University of Queensland Business School. He is the Managing Director of the Australian Gender Equality Council (AGEC), a body whose members comprise of 28 peak national industry bodies representing 500,000 women across industry sectors in Australia. In February 2020 he released a report in partnership with the Australian Workplace Gender Equality Agency examining leading practices in progressing workplace gender equality in Australia. In 2021 he released the ‘Towards Board Gender Parity’ report with the Australian Institute of Company Directors examining how Australia became one of only three countries in the world to achieve 36%+ women on their ASX200 boards without recourse to legislated quotas. In July 2022 he released the ‘Experiences of COVID-19: The pandemic and work/life outcomes for Australian men and women.’ Looking at the gender differential experiences of COVID-19 on men and women. He is currently working with the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) and the Strong Women for Healthy Country network, as partners through an Australian Research Council Industry Linkage grant, on increasing Indigenous women rangers representation in environmental and community decision making.
Heidi Cooper, CEO at Business Chamber Queensland
Heidi Cooper is a leading business executive and Chief Executive Officer of Business Chamber Queensland, where she advocates for the strategic growth and sustainable transformation of Queensland’s business environment. In this role, she leads with purpose, driving business success while shaping the state’s economic future through policy influence, stakeholder collaboration and strategic reform. With a career spanning business, law, corporate affairs and strategy, Heidi has led major initiatives for Top 20 ASX-listed companies, top-tier law firms and industry bodies across infrastructure, energy, financial services, education and sport. She is a recognised leader in aligning business outcomes with social and environmental impact and advancing sustainable business practices. She brings a global perspective to local leadership, strengthened by participation in the Chambers of Commerce international network and executive programs at Harvard and Princeton Universities.
