Description

We are living in a time of immense change.

For many, the drought and intense heat of this past summer have brought the reality of climate chaos much closer to home. Technology is developing at a pace faster than many of us feel comfortable with. The messages we receive from the mainstream media can generate fear of an uncertain future. Life can be hectic, without time to stop and reflect on where we are choosing to put our energies.

Whether you are feeling pressured by uncertainty, feel grief at the state of the world, or would like to simply slow down and connect more deeply as we head into Autumn, join us for this day of grounding and connection with the land and kindred beings at Tree of Life Veganics.

Together we will explore how we can cultivate a conscious approach to thriving in uncertain times.

We will be making space to connect with the land, sharing ways in which we can live more deeply on the earth and create a future of hope for all beings.

The day will include:

  • A tour of the Tree of Life Veganics site

  • Meditations to reconnect with nature

  • A spirit-centred plant walk and forage

  • A herbal tea circle

  • Plenty of time to just be!

A wholesome veganic lunch and refreshments will be provided.

Facilitators

Jo Kidd, Tree of Life Veganics

Than Gunabalasingham, Nourish the Wild

Claire Turner, Ahimsa Apothecary

Jo has been a veganic forest farmer since 2018. She believes that the crisis that we are in is, at its core, a spiritual crisis – one of disconnection and alienation from our true nature. Jo is passionate about co-creating Tree of Life Veganics alongside human and more-than-human collaborators, guided by Mother Nature at every step, showing how we can farm compassionately and consciously.

Than is a horticultural educator, with a passion for wild plants and creating edible landscapes that produce abundance without the need to exploit animals.

Claire is a medical herbalist and veganic gardener, with a love for edible perennial and medicinal plants. Claire established Ahimsa Apothecary as a way to interweave the principle of non-violence, or Ahimsa, into their practice as a herbalist working with people, plants, and the land.

Location

Located near Faversham in Kent, Tree of Life Veganics is an off-grid forest farm and agroforestry site that is transforming former pasture land into a haven for biodiversity, edible and medicinal produce and other useful crops and space of healing dedicated to the freedom and non-exploitation of animals.

Accessibility

The site is fairly flat but uneven. We want to be as inclusive as possible. Please contact us if you have any access or communication needs.
