GAL Training: Responding to a Disclosure of Sexual Abuse
Event description
Jimmie Getter from Rockford Sexual Assault Counseling and Pennie Meyers from Children's Safe Harbor will provide Guardians ad litem with information about how to best respond to disclosures of sexual abuse, including how to respond in a trauma-informed manner. Information about Rockford Sexual Assault Counseling and Children's Safe Harbor's services will be provided.
Although formal CLE will not be provided, attendance qualifies as part of the 17th Judicial Circuit's required continuing education for Guardians ad litem.
