AgriTechNZ - Gallagher Customer Insights: the good, the bad and the incredibly useful
Event description
We are pleased to provide the opportunity to share the wealth of experience and knowledge within our membership with our members in this latest webinar featuring the Gallagher Group.
Gallagher is one of the most successful and oldest agritech businesses in New Zealand employing over 1,200 people with revenue approaching $400m. Established in 1938 with the world’s first electric fence, they have gone on to lead the market in weighing and electronic identification (EID), data collection, wireless water monitoring systems, as well as their electric fencing technology.
With a focus on quality, innovation, reliability, and customer service there’s a wealth of experience to be shared. We are pleased to say we have two of the Gallagher team joining us on this webinar to talk about their recent customer insight work. They’ll share some of the learnings, the good and the bad, and how they validate product features, have valuable conversations with customers and unpack the learnings – without bias.
This is an AgriTechNZ Members Only event and we encourage anyone building technology solutions or looking for ideas on gathering customer feedback to register. Check here to see if you’re a Member - https://agritechnz.org.nz/about-us/our-members/

SARAH ADAMS
Global Strategy and New Ventures Manager
Gallagher
Sarah has worked in innovation, business development and management roles within the agricultural industry for over 25 years. She has grown small start-up agricultural companies in genetics, Ultrafine Merino wool and arable foods into substantial, globally recognised businesses. Creating added value products and transitioning businesses from selling products to solutions has been key to the success.
When not at work Sarah is a ‘hands on’ farmer on their hill country sheep and beef property on north side of the Raglan Harbour. This ‘grass roots’ farming experience enables her to clearly understand the problems farmers are trying to solve.
SID GOUTAM
Lead Product Development and Release
Gallagher
Sid has worked in product development at Gallagher, contributing to the creation of various Animal Fencing product solutions. With a strong passion for next-generation technologies, Sid actively advocates for the integration of a customer-inspired design approach supported by data-driven insights. Sid also played a key role in the development of the world's first lithium-powered Energizers at Gallagher, utilizing the customer-insights approach employed in eShepherd.
Through his diligent customer insights research, Sid and his team uncovered key pain points experienced by farmers. These insights enabled the development team to create innovative solutions that directly addressed the identified challenges, resulting in excellent customer feedback after the products' release.
