Looking for a fun, hands-on school holiday activity for your kids? Join us at the Inner West Sustainability Hub for an interactive workshop where children can explore our urban food garden, learn how to grow their own food and get creative with some fun sustainability activities.
Together, we’ll:
🌿 Wander through our urban food garden and discover how food can be grown at home
🪴 Learn how to propagate plants and start your own food garden
♻️ Discover how composting works and make your own simple take-home compost (it doesn’t stink!)
💥 Create and take home your own seed bombs to green up your space
It’s a fun and practical way for kids to discover that growing food, composting and caring for the environment can be easy and rewarding.
Event details:
Free for each child and accompanying guardian
Maximum 2 children per parent/guardian
Snacks provided
Suitable for school-aged children
All children and minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian

As numbers are limited, the service is only available to residents of the Inner West Council area. Accessibility: If you have any access or support requirements in order to participate fully please let us know. The site is accessible via paved pathways with a slight slope from street to buildings
