Event description

Calling all mini gardeners, this one is for you! Join Tiny Creators for a mini term of garden club, the perfect place for 2 - 5 year olds to get their hands dirty and let their imagination bloom.

Our Garden club is designed to introduce your little ones to basic gardening concepts, encourage outdoor play, and cultivate an early appreciation for the environment.

Sessions will begin with a guided activity followed by free exploration of themed stations. Each week we will focus on a different element of the garden and give your Tiny Creator new skills that they can use in the garden over a lifetime.

Come ready to dig, discover, and grow in the garden!

Our themes:

Week one: Soil 101

Learn about soil and why it's important, we'll look into our worm farm, make natural fertilisers, play in the mud kitchen and more.

Week two: Planting a garden

Grow your own seedlings, make plant labels and learn about different seeds.

Week three: The world we see

Observation is an important skill to have as a gardener, this week we will be checking our plants for insects, making pest deterrents and getting crafty.

Week four: Take action!

What can we do to take care of our garden? We're going to make some weed tea and learn about plant care.

Week five: Little hands, big world.

In our last session, we are enjoying all the fun that can be had in a garden. Play with water harvesting, our makeshift flower shop and put the produce we have grown to use.

*Siblings under 1 are at no cost (no ticket required) and children 12-24 months receive a discount.

Frequently asked questions

What should I bring?

All you need is your little one and a grown up who is willing to participate alongside them. We are outside so closed in shoes (gumboots are great for the paddock), a hat, water bottle, sunscreen and clothes appropriate to the weather (that your don't mind getting a little grubby) are recommended.

How will the session run?

We will start the session with a group activity and introducing the children to the theme of the week. Once we've finished the group activity, the children will have some time for free exploration of the stations.

What if the weather is bad on the day?

If the weather is significantly bad on the day, we do have access to an indoor space with a long table within Dirty Janes. Our classes might look a little different indoors but we will still explore the theme for the week and our scheduled activities. We will let you know via email and Instagram stories should our classes be moved indoors or if we need to reschedule.

Refund policy?

We won't be offering refunds for our term or casual passes unless the class has been cancelled by us. If you can't make a class, please reach out to us via email (tinycreatorscanberra@gmail.com). Please give at least 24 hours notice of an absence and we can organise a makeup session.
