Designing gardens for small birds!

This month Design Club will focus on design tips for attracting small birds to your wildlife garden.

We will begin with a presentation looking into the different habitat requirements for a range of small bird species and cover all the main tips to attract them to your garden.

Following that session we will immerse ourselves in the Barung Garden to experience first hand the bird life that now inhabits the garden. We will discuss the planting structure and density as well as the diversity of species used which make this such a successful wildlife planting.

The session will be hosted by Cam Burton, who brings years of experience in native garden design and ecological restoration.

Design Club isn’t a lecture; it’s a conversation. Cam will guide discussion and offer practical advice, while members share their own experiences and inspiration.

Free for Garden for Wildlife members. We’ll meet at the Barung Nursery and make our way into the garden, surrounded by living examples of design techniques and plant combinations. If the weather turns wet, we’ll move into the Education Zone nearby.

Design Club is an easy way to learn, share ideas, and connect with other passionate gardeners - all while helping grow a network of wildlife-friendly gardens across the Sunshine Coast hinterland.
