Garden Tool Sharpening!
Event description
Let the tools do the work! In this 4-hour workshop, horticulturalist Emily Goldsmith will show you how to keep your tools clean and sharp to get a more enjoyable gardening experience. Exclusive to six attendees only, Emily will give you the attention you need and there will be plenty of time to ask questions. We will also enjoy a tasty morning tea!
You will learn how to bring dull, rusty secateurs back to life in a few safe, simple steps. Plus, we'll learn how to maintain loppers, hedgers, chain saws, axes and spades. Once everything is looking shiny and sharp, we will put them to use in the garden. Emily will advise on what metal files to use and how to keep your tools feeling loved after every use.
At the end of this workshop, you will have the confidence to safely and expertly sharpen all of your garden tools!
This session is suitable for beginners and experienced gardeners. Ages 16+ welcome, under 18 accompanied by an adult. If you have them, please bring a few tools from home that you would like to sharpen.
The workshop is limited to six participants only so be quick to book your tickets.
