About this event
CUNY Building Performance Lab in conjunction with Con Edison are offering a free 3-hour Gas Safety Training class for supers, operators, and maintenance staff of all NYC residential buildings.
What It Is
The class is a stand-alone 3-hour session that is free for all participants, thanks to our sponsor, Con Edison.
The course is offered entirely online. Delivery platform is Zoom Education, accessible by any internet connected device, no account or download needed for participants.
Curriculum Covers
• Gas safety basics
• Compliance with new NYC laws (of 2016) that describe how building staff must respond to potential gas leaks
• Preparedness – working with first responders; minimizing impact to the building
