    Event description

Join us for a day of creativity, connection, and reflection as we celebrate the season's beauty together. Under the expert guidance of weaver Brenda Vynalek, you'll have the chance to craft exquisite baskets and wreaths using invasive vines cleared from our farm. Suitable for both beginners and seasoned weavers, Brenda offers step-by-step instruction and personalized support. By utilizing materials from our land, we not only create beautiful artwork but also contribute to preserving our local ecosystem.

Our workshops are conducted in small groups, fostering an intimate and supportive atmosphere. As we weave, we’ll connect with each other and share stories about our passion for nature. This is a perfect opportunity for spending quality time with friends or meeting new women who share similar interests. It’s about unplugging from the outside world and creating time just for you.

This workshop is about more than crafting; it's about building a community of women. We'll share a nourishing lunch—feel free to bring a potluck dish to enrich our table. This slow living experience provides an opportunity to unwind amidst the farm's tranquil beauty, interact with our gentle horses, and forge meaningful connections with kindred spirits.

As we gather during this time of harvest and reflection, let us celebrate nature's abundance and the strength found in our shared narratives. All materials are provided; just bring your creativity and an open heart. It's a chance to slow down, connect with nature, and explore our inner selves through creative expression.

From learning new techniques to discovering ways to incorporate nature into our daily lives, this workshop is the perfect opportunity to nourish your mind and soul. Join us for a day of relaxation, connection, and reflection.

    Event Details:

Date & Time: Sunday, November 3rd 10:00 am - 3:30 pm (may finish earlier)

Lunch: We will offer a selection of seasonal vegetarian salad bowls for a light lunch. However, you are welcome to bring your own lunch or a dish to share with the group if you prefer. It's a wonderful opportunity to connect over delicious nibbles while crafting and relaxing together. (NOTE: if you do bring a dish to share, please provide the ingredients)

Nibbles: Refreshments are provided throughout the day, or bring along your favorite snacks to share with the group during our breaks. It's a wonderful opportunity to connect over delicious treats while crafting and relaxing together.

    What to Expect:

We will supply all the necessary materials and tools to create your baskets and wreaths—just come with an open mind and a readiness to learn.

Feel free to bring meaningful adornments to incorporate into your wreath or basket. If you have pine cones, dried flowers, or other items you'd like to share with the group, we love sharing with each other.

The day starts with an opening circle and meditation to help us connect with the serene environment of the farm, allowing us to let go of our external stresses and distractions.

Our gathering will conclude in Circle, with a final meditation, a land acknowledgment, and a space for sharing thoughts and reflections on the day's experiences.
