You know those conversations with your business bestie? The ones where you dream up your next big idea, talk about everything you want to create, and promise yourselves you’ll actually make the time?

So, this is your sign.

Just 90 minutes south of Perth, between the forest and the ocean, something special has been taking shape. It’s called The Preston Creative, and on 20 November I’m opening the doors for one very special day so you can come and see it for yourself.

SO, WHAT’S THE PLAN?

Grab your business bestie, grab a coffee and carpool down together.

• Coffee, tea, cake and nibbles when you arrive

• Bubbles, mimosas and mocktails to sip as you explore

• Explore the house and see how it’s styled, inside and out, from the content room to the garden and the new outdoor bath and shower

• Serena from Creative Lab by Serena on hand to show you how to use the light and get the best photos and videos of yourself and your business

• A welcome meditation and a little time to breathe and reset with Jane O’Reilly Hypnotherapy

• 10-minute mini massages with Anna Q Wellbeing (head and neck, feet or hands), 12 sessions before lunch.

• A Christmas corner for festive photos. I know, I know. But it’s closer than you think

• At 1:30pm, a long lunch under the peppermint trees by Studio Eat

• A take-home bag for the drive back to Perth

And there might be a few little surprises on the day.

I’ll take you through the house and show you why it isn’t your average holiday house. The content room set up for creating and podcasts. The light, thought about in every room. The garden, and the new outdoor bath and shower. Whether you’re the face of your business or just need some fresh photos of yourself, you’re going to want to use it.

AND THEN, WE LUNCH

We’ll gather under the peppermint trees for a long, generous lunch by Fiona from Studio Eat. Good food, something lovely to sip, and a table full of interesting women. No awkward networking. No pitches. Just good conversation that keeps getting better.

12-hour coffee rub brisket, guindilla and herb salsa
Cold roasted herby potatoes, charred lemon, spring onion, tarragon and fresh herbs
Heirloom tomatoes, kalamata olive and semi-sundried tomato salsa
Cos and radicchio salad, date, shallot, lemon and parmesan dressing

Gluten-free options for every dish, and everything is clearly labelled.

THE BIGGER STORY

The Preston Creative is two nights at Preston for up to three women in business. A house set up for creating, with a content room ready for filming and podcasts, gardens made for photos, and room to finally work on the things you’ve been putting off. Your meals are pre-ordered from Studio Eat and waiting in the fridge, so all you do is warm, plate and create.

I built it because I needed it. Fiona and I are business mums trying to do it all, and getting away to Preston is where our best ideas happen. Every time.

On 20 November, you get the very first look.

• Your ticket includes the day at Preston Beach Escape, the house tour, content tips with Serena, coffee, tea, cake and nibbles, bubbles, mimosas and mocktails, lunch by Studio Eat, and your take-home bag

• Mini massages are limited to 12 sessions before lunch. Anna and Jane will be in touch beforehand with a few quick questionsThis is our launch, and our first open day. Maybe our only one.

Only 16 tickets. It’s a small, cosy day and we’re keeping it that way.
