Entry instructions

Entry is via the Main Gate on North Terrace, Adelaide. This is a wide gate with bitumen pathways. There is a pedestrian crossing directly opposite the gate.

After entry instructions

Once you have checked in with staff, you can explore the garden and exhibitions at your own pace. The Museum Lawn where the food trucks, bar and live band will be is approximately 300m from the entry point at the Main Gate. There are bitumen pathways on the way. The main event is on grass. To visit each photograph in the Wildlife Photographer exhibition, you will need to cover approximately 200m of pathways. We would recommend allowing a minimum of 45-minutes to view the exhibition. This is approximately 150m from the event lawn. The Tails from the Coasts exhibition is in a small, accessible indoor space and we recommend allowing 20 minutes to view the artworks. This is directly next to the event lawn, accessed up some steps, or via a ramp on the Schomburgk Pavilion.

Hazards

The Exhibition is located throughout the Bicentennial Conservatory on a paved pathway at ground level and includes a low gradient sloped board walk to the upper level and low gradient sloped paved path on the ground level. These walkways will take you on a trail that is about 200m in length, and both walkways have full wheelchair access. As this is a Rainforest environment, please be aware that there may be moisture in the air and the paths can sometimes be slippery.

Toilet location

Schomburgk Pavilion toilets include an accessible toilet at map reference D4. These are adjacent to the Museum Lawn and can be accessed via steps or a ramp. Classgrounds, between the Friends' Gate and Conservatory Gate, adjacent to Botanic Park (A4 map reference, adjacent to Plane Tree Drive, Botanic Park). These include a Changing Places facility.
