Gaura Purnima: A Celebration of Kirtan

One of the most auspicious days of the year, Gaura Purnima celebrates the appearance in this world of Sri Gauranga.

500 years ago, in the ancient kingdom of Bengal, two great transcendental personalities; Sri Nityananda and Sri Gauranga, appeared and freely spread the chanting of the holy names of the Divine (kirtan) throughout all of India.

This kirtan tradition is now sweeping the globe; hundreds and thousands of people of all cultures are falling in love with it.

Kirtan nourishes the deepest needs of the soul. Sri Gauranga glorified kirtan as; “The prime benediction for humanity because it spreads the rays of the benediction moon, it increases the ocean of transcendental bliss and enables us to taste the nectar for which we are always anxious.”

Come and immerse yourself in joyous singing, ecstatic dancing, delicious food, devotion and spiritual love as we celebrate Sri Gauranga and the origins of kirtan!
