Gazania Plant Swap - Clayton Bay
Event description
Have you got these garden escapees popping up in your yard?
Gazanias are a declared weed, invading natural habitats like coastal dunes and lining roadsides, and posing risks to agriculture.
Landscapes Hills and Fleurieu, Clayton Bay Nursery and Environment Group, and Alexandrina Council are inviting Clayton Bay residents to remove gazanias from their gardens and replace them with FREE local native plants that are water-wise, resilient, and attract birds, butterflies, and animals.
Before you come, make sure you:
register here
carefully remove gazanias in your garden
take a photo of the gazanias you’ve removed
dispose of them in the green organics bin
then come with your photo and pick up your free plants.
Spots are limited - so be sure to register now.
This plant swap is supported by the Landscapes Hills and Fleurieu Stewardship Program, Clayton Bay Nursery and Environment Group and Alexandrina Council. Landscapes Hills and Fleurieu is grateful for the wonderful volunteers involved in this project.
