Bat Chat at Varsity Wetlands with Gecko Walks
Event description
Fantastic opportunity to visit the bat colony at Varsity Lakes with local bat expert Joanie Lewis from Bats Queensland. These flying foxes are mega-bats and they play a crucial role in the health of our forests. This morning Walk and Talk begins with a short stroll to the colony to observe the bats, where you will see and hear mums hanging out with their pups too! Joanie will share her knowledge of 'bat life' and her extensive experiences rescuing and rehabilitating these fascinating creatures over the last seven years.
