GeekCon

GeekCon is Wangaratta’s own comic, gaming, and pop culture convention, featuring events, stalls, competitions, and activities that everyone can enjoy, no matter their age or ability. Just like the big conventions in the city, GeekCon brings the excitement of comics, cosplay, gaming, and more to rural communities who might not have the chance to attend larger events.

Library staff, along with the Rural City of Wangaratta, are putting together this awesome event as part of the Victorian Youth Fest. Youth Fest is a month-long celebration across Victoria that gives young people (aged 12–25) a platform to share their ideas, tackle issues that matter to them, and, of course, have a blast.

Even though our convention is part of Victorian Youth Fest, GeekCon is open to people of all ages. So, whether you’re young or just young at heart, there’s something here for everyone!
