Travel instructions
Bus: There's a stop right on Brougham Street, beside the campus: “Deakin University Waterfront Campus / Brougham St.” The Route 1 bus (North Shore Station – Deakin University, via Geelong City) stops here. Train: Geelong Railway Station is about 400 metres away — roughly a 5-minute walk to campus. Served by V/Line trains from Melbourne, Colac and Warrnambool, plus the Waurn Ponds line. A myki card is needed for buses and trains. By Car: Parking around the Waterfront Campus is limited, so allow extra time to find a space. On-street bays are available around campus, including on Brougham, Gheringhap and Western Beach Road. On weekends on-street parking is free. If you'd rather park in a car park, the Nyaal Banyul Geelong Convention and Event Centre car park (Wilson Parking, entry via 7 Cavendish Street) offers paid all-day parking and is a short, flat walk to the Jarvis Forecourt entrance.
Entry instructions
The Fair is held in the gallery and lecture halls of the John Hay Building, opening onto the John Hay Courtyard at Deakin University's Waterfront Campus in Geelong. The easiest way in is via the Jarvis Forecourt entrance on Brougham Street
After entry instructions
Finding the Gallery & Lecture Halls (Accessible Route) • From Brougham Street, enter through the Jarvis Forecourt entrance — this is a step-free, Level 2 entry straight off the street. • Continue through the forecourt into the John Hay Courtyard. • The gallery and lecture halls open directly off the courtyard on Level 2 — look for Fair signage at the courtyard entrances. • Lifts and accessible toilets are available throughout the John Hay Building.
Hazards
By the nature of a fragrance fair, there will be many scents in the air, which some people may find overwhelming. You are welcome to step outside for fresh air and return at any time throughout the day.
Toilet location
Accessible toilets are available throughout the John Hay Building.
Accessible parking
Marked accessible bays are available across campus for anyone displaying a valid Australian Disability Parking Permit (or Victorian equivalent). If accessible bays are full, permit holders may also park in orange or white bays without needing an OPark session.
