Description

Gel printing, or Gelli Printing is a mono printing technique using a flexible gel plate (often mineral oil/polymer-based) to create unique, textured art by rolling acrylic paint on it, adding textures with objects or stencils, and pressing paper onto the surface to lift the image. We will cover Gel Print basics then focus on combining botanicals and lace for one-of-a-kind prints.

You will create between 20 and 30 prints that will be suitable for framing, scrapbooking, card making, collage, junk journaling and much more.

$40 covers tuition. Class kit and consumables provided.

This class is suitable for all levels.

Your tutor: Beverley is an artist experienced in gel printing, block carving, and other creative techniques. For more than ten years, she has created and sold gel prints on cards, canvas, and paper.

While our address is on Main Rd, our shop is located at the rear of Tanja’s Café, on the corner of Oceanic St and Pye Lane.

Refund policy

General Cancellation and No-Show Policies for Village Creative Studio Co-op. Below are the terms and conditions for workshop participation: • Gift vouchers are available and may be used for workshop bookings. • Credits from cancelled or postponed workshops may be applied toward booking a new workshop. • Bookings are confirmed upon receipt of full payment. • A minimum of two participants is required for a class to proceed. • Classes may be cancelled or postponed at any time; in such cases, participants will receive a full refund or credit applicable to another workshop within 12 months. The refund or credit will not exceed the original workshop price. • If a participant cannot attend a workshop after booking and payment, or does not attend, no refunds or credits can be issued, as preparation have been completed, and places may have been reserved for others. All purchases are final. • Workshop bookings are transferable; if you cannot attend, you may nominate someone else to take your place. KEY FOCUS AREAS

· ARTISAN HANDMADE SHOP – A curated retail space showcasing and selling locally made, high-quality handcrafted works.

· ART AND CRAFT SUPPLY SHOP – Affordable new and de-stashed craft supplies, fabrics, yarns, tools, and equipment.

· CREATIVE WORKSPACE – A dedicated space for workshops and creative circles, supporting both skill-building and social connection. Creative circles are peer-led and promote wellbeing through craft and community.

· WORKSHOPS – Led by local artisan facilitators, these hands-on classes help participants learn new techniques and gain confidence in their craft.

· COMMUNITY OUTREACH – We bring creativity into the community through events like craft days, exhibitions, retreats, and visits to local facilities such as retirement villages.

· VOLUNTEERING – Volunteers are the heart of our co-op. They enhance our operations, contribute ideas, host events, and promote our mission in the wider community.
