Gelli Printing with Britt Gow
Event description
Come along to the Brush n Blossom Spring Art Festival and learn about gelatin plate mono-printing. Mono-printing is a spontaneous and somewhat unpredictable process that can be easily achieved at home, without specialised equipment. The gelatin plate is a soft and malleable surface that can hold the detailed impressions that you make on it with brushes, botanical materials, stencils, masks and stamps. In this workshop you will learn how to make your own gelatine plate and use it to create unique, layered artworks that can be enjoyed alone or used as backgrounds for multimedia, card creation or cut into collages.
Participants over 7 years are welcome - but 7-12 year olds require a 1:1 parent/supervisor (only one ticket required per child/adult pair).
Materials supplied.
