Event description

This service is for transgender, gender diverse, and nonbinary people.

About the session: This session will introduce the basics of voice training, including how the voice works, exercises to get you started and tips for keeping your voice healthy. Whether you're just beginning or looking for some guidance, it's a supportive space to learn, explore and ask questions while connecting with others in the group.

About Ebony: "I take a warm, playful, and collaborative approach to speech therapy, creating a space where clients feel comfortable to be themselves. I integrate my background in vocal training to help clients explore their voices safely and effectively, while also respecting their individuality and personal expression.

I have experience working with children and adults across a range of settings, supporting clients with a variety of communication goals, including voice, speech, and language needs. I also have a Bachelor of Music in Classical Voice from the Queensland Conservatorium, which gives me a strong understanding of vocal technique and function.

I am passionate about providing neurodiversity-affirming care and take a client-led approach to speech therapy, ensuring that all clients feel heard, supported, and empowered in their communication. I am committed to helping people develop confidence in their voice and communication, ensuring they feel comfortable and empowered in how they express themselves."

Refundable deposit: There is a $15 refundable deposit for this session, and as long as you either attend the session or cancel more than 2 days in advance, you will be refunded this cost. If you do not cancel with at least two day's notice, or you do not show up, you will be charged the $15. If you are committed to coming to the session but the $15 fee poses a financial barrier, please contact us at groupcordinator@tgv.org.au.
