Gender Equal NZ Speaker Series - International Women's Day

The Wellington Branch of the National Council of Women NZ (NCWNZ) is excited to introduce the Gender Equal NZ Conference Speaker Series - International Women's Day, taking place on Friday 8 March 2024 - International Women's Day.
This is an opportunity to hear from some incredible Wellington-based wāhine about the work they do and how they're trying to make a more Gender Equal Aotearoa. NZSL sign interpreters will be present during the session.
Our webinar will kick off at 9:30am on Friday 8 March.
First we’ll hear from:
- Mira Karunanidhi, Barrister & Solicitor with a passion for social justice
- Caitlin Taylor-Maddock, Communications Team Leader for the Make it 16 Campaign
Then we will have a short break, and get into the lightning talks from 10:40am:
- Cha’Nel Kaa-Luke, Advocate for Accessibility and Equity in Turi and Māori Communities, & Zoe Ferguson, Chair on the Deaf Aotearoa Youth Board and NZSL/English translator
- Elizabeth Hodgson, Wellington-based film producer
- Yessenia Sandoval, Founder, CEO & Advocacy Director of Endo Warriors Aotearoa
- Bethany Mataiti, Coordinator of the Pacific Climate Warriors, Te Whanganui-a-Tara team
There will be time for Q&A before finishing at 12pm.
