Gender Equality Focus Group Consultation

Help shape ANU’s gender equity Targets and register to participate in a focus group

From 2026, ANU will be able to set gender equity targets that meet national requirements and strengthen our culture. Gender equity is central to who we are as a university. It affects every staff member, supports our ability to attract and retain talent, fosters a safe and respectful environment, and reflects our values as Australia’s national university.

To set effective and meaningful targets, we need your input.

Throughout February and March, we are consulting with staff across ANU to refine two priority areas:

• Flexible Work and Care

• Safety and Respect

As part of this process, we are hosting a series of focus groups. These sessions are designed to be inclusive, accessible, and supportive spaces where staff can share experiences, insights, and ideas openly. Additional consultation activities will include College and Division discussions and an anonymous all‑staff survey. 

Your voice is important. By participating, you will help shape targets and actions that are meaningful, measurable, achievable, and supported by all genders across ANU.

3. Session 3 (in person session) - 24 February 3pm - 4pm, China in the World, Seminar Room A&B
