Join the Gender Equality Committee and our distinguished panellists for a pre-recorded series of discussions on what leadership and gender equality mean together.
Over a period of three sessions over three weeks, our panellists will explore pertinent topics including ways to strengthen young girls' leadership, how to empower women in early career and help them source opportunities to grow their leadership, and how leaders can embed inclusive values and behaviours in their workplaces.

Event: Strengthening Girls' Leadership
Scovia Anzoa
Scovia Anzoa is the Multicultural Umpiring Program coordinator at Edmund Rice Centre WA, where she works to engage young people from culturally and linguistically diverse (CaLD) backgrounds into mainstream AFL umpiring. She wasborn in Uganda and moved to Australia with her family in 2003at age 2, which she now calls home. Scovia joined the first ever Multicultural Girls AFL team in Australia, the Butler Falcons at ERCWA in 2014 at 13yrs of age. She then went on to playing for West Perth FC that same year and took out the best and fairest while captaining the Butler Falcons, she’s played state footballand has been a youth leader at ERCWA volunteering at programs and events in the community.
Jashandeep Bajwa
Jashandeep is an early childhood educator with a background in business. Migrating from India to Australia in 2015, Jashandeep has broad practical experience in employing strategic thinking to uplift and empower underprivileged citizens. Currently working as a kindergarten teacher, Jashandeep prides herself on her passion and drive in guiding young children to embody equality and fairness, not only socially, but as core values they will carry into adulthood. Jashandeep is enthusiastic about contributing to social justice within the community, with a goal of improving the currently disparate career and education outcomes for women and girls, and promoting fairness for all.
Khairul Hilmi
Khairul is a Registered Psychologist and currently works for a multinational organisation in global talent management and policy. Prior to this, he also worked in the social service sector in Singapore. Khairul strongly believes that everyone should be given an equal and fair opportunity to achieve their career aspirations at work. In particular, Khairul acknowledges that greater systemic challenges exist for women than men when it comes to pursuing career interests. He aspires to tackle these barriers through his daily encounters both at work and in the community. Khairul holds a Master of Industrial and Organisational Psychology from the University of Western Australia. Khairul also sits in the Advisory Committee for Youth Corps Singapore.

Jill Latham
Jill Latham is an endorsed Organisational Psychologist in the Psychology at Work (PAW) Lab. Jill lectures in the UWA Master of Industrial and Organisational Psychology and Business Psychology programs. She is a Member of the Australian Psychological Society (MAPS) and Fellow of the Australian College of Organisational Psychologists (FCOP).
Jill has an extensive industry background as a practitioner across the private, government and not for profit sectors and industries including insurance and finance, mining, oil and gas, health, tourism and education.
Jill is registered with the Psychology Board of Australia to provide supervision to registered psychologists for endorsement, and provides supervision to provisionally registered masters students completing placements.
In addition to lecturing and consulting, Jill is completing her PhD research which focuses on the gender balance of ASX company boards.
Neesha Seth
An experienced organisational psychologist, mentor, consultant, and television presenter, over the past 15 years, Neesha has worked across a diverse array of industries to assist organisations to optimise their human potential. Neesha’s passion for human rights and her love of people, has seen her hold numerous leadership roles over the past 15 years with the United Nations Association of Australia (UNAA). She is currently the President of the UNAA Young Professionals in Western Australia. Neesha is grounded and authentic, with a genuine interest to assist others to be the best version of themselves. This is clearly demonstrated to her longstanding commitments to the United Nations and profession as an Organisational Psychologist. Neesha is also a regular presenter on Foxtel Aurora’s The Couch, has presented on a number of channel 9 lifestyle series and is a regular MC for bespoke community events. Neesha is currently working on a six-part series that focuses on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal, Good Health and Wellbeing in collaboration with the UNAA Young Professionals and the Society of Industrial and Organisational Psychologists Australia.
Meesen Brown
Meesen Brown is an entrepreneur, marketer and brand builder. After starting her career in corporate finance in Canada, she began her international career in Sydney, Australia working for a non-profit, before launching her first company, Behere. In January 2020, Behere was acquired and Meesen joined SF based Microverse, as their Head of Marketing. Meesen is passionate about supporting other female entrepreneurs and getting more women involved in STEM. She believes education and mentorship are key to helping increase gender equality in the workplace, especially in leadership.

Paul Faix
Paul is the founder and CEO of Fortix , an award-winning technology company. Paul is also a diplomat, currently serving in the role of Honorary Consul of the Slovak Republic in Western Australia. Paul was also awarded 2019 Male Gender Equality Champion at the Women’s Economic Forum in Perth. He has a Master’s Degree in Software Engineering and Information Management, an Advanced Diploma in Information Technology, and a Diploma in Business Management. Paul established Fortix in 2004. Fortix empowers many local and national businesses with highly personalised business management systems. Manufacturing & distribution, professional services and insurance businesses all use Fortix's innovative, fast and secure business management platform to seamlessly manage their business growth. Dedicated to Fortix clients and constantly striving to improve the technology has earned Fortix and Paul a number of awards over the years, for example, The Technology Award at the 2016 Belmont Small Business Awards, and 2014 and 2015 Nifnex Influential 100 Awards.
Paul is an active member of numerous boards and advisory groups. He is passionate to achieve progress in all areas of business and social life. In 2015 Paul set up a sporting event, that was dedicated to raising money and awareness for children’s cancer in Western Australia. Working closely with Volleyball Western Australia the campaign attracted many of Perth’s businesses and raised over $10,000 for children’s charities.
Arnold Wong
As a steadfast champion of diversity, Arnold has enjoyed a long and successful professional career in the ever-evolving ICT services industry for over 30 years. He has developed extensive strategic leadership, governance, general management, customer service and business development skills in diverse industries, including technology, education, healthcare, and resources in public and private sectors across Australia, Asia, Europe and Americas. A Fellow of ACS, he serves as National Treasurer on the ACS Management Committee. As a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, Arnold continues to actively lead and serve in a number of not-for-profit organisations and boards.
Rhiannon Comtpon
Rhiannon is a Senior People and Performance Adviser in the resources sector, providing organisations with strategic advice across operations, business optimisation, human resources, and employment relations.
Rhiannon is a proud feminist and advocate for gender equality in the workplace and has worked across several projects addressing women’s empowerment. She continues to work with individuals and groups through mentoring to empower and develop the next generation of leaders.
Rhiannon also serves as the Co-Chair of the University of Western Australia Young Alumni Board and holds an executive role with the United Nations Association of Australia (UNAA) Young Professionals Network.
