Event description

LGBTIQA+ people are at greater risk of disordered eating behaviours than their hetrosexual peers, with two thirds of trans young people reporting they have limited their eating because of gender identity. LGBTIQA+ people also face challenges in accessing culturally-competent treatment and support.

Join us for an honest discussion about the realities of living with eating disorders and the road to recovery from speakers within the LGBTQIA+ community

This event is brought to you as part of UNSW's Mental Health Month 2021 In partnership with the butterfly foundation.
