Swan Hill: Gender Voice Therapy

Affirmation Station visits Swan Hill! 

Transgender Victoria is facilitating an Affirmation for All event in Swan Hill. This is part of a series of gender affirming events happening across two days.

This workshop is for transgender, gender diverse, gender questioning, and non-binary people age 16+ who live, work, or study in Swan Hill and surrounding areas.

Join non-binary Speech Pathologist Allie (any pronouns) in an interactive workshop to support your journey in discovering a voice that helps you feel confident and celebrated.

There are two sessions of this workshop:

• 10:00am-12:00pm

• 1:00pm-3:00pm

Please only book into the one session of your choice.

What to expect:

• The workshop will include Allie explaining her way to understand voices and voice training to support you in exploring voice as part of your identity. 

• Throughout the workshop, there will be optional, low pressure exercises to support your understanding and help you experiment with your voice. 

• At the end of the workshop, Allie will be able to answer any questions and provide direction as to how you can continue your gender affirming voice training journey. 

About the facilitator:

Allie (any pronouns) is a trained speech pathologist (or a professional yapper as she calls it!). She has 2 years of experience working with individuals of all ages and genders, and is an active member in organisations working in the gender affirming voice training space such as GIIV (Gender Identity In Voice) and La Trobe University. She is passionate about helping people express themselves and discover a voice that helps them feel excited about expressing themselves.
