Jacqui Malins is a writer, performance poet and visual artist based on Ngunawal and Ngambri country, aka Canberra. Jacqui has created poetry theatre shows 'Matter of Life', 'Words in Flight' and 'Cavorting with Time' and performed at events including Poetry on the Move (ACT), the Woodford Festival (QLD) and the 2022 National Poetry Month Gala (NSW). She was an Australian Poetry Slam finalist in 2015. Jacqui’s new non-fiction poetry narrative, GERT, set on Tasmania's west coast, was published in August 2025 by Recent Work Press.

Jacqui also hosts and facilitates arts and literature events, co-founding Canberra's Mother Tongue Multilingual Poetry in 2015, and directing and producing two Poetic City Festivals, in 2021 and 2023. Find Jacqui and her work on stage and page, in galleries and online at www.jacquimalinsart.com.
