Event description

Guild planting is a method we use to group plants together to create ideal growing conditions not just for the fruit or nut tree it supports, but also for the flowering and edible plants under and around its canopy.

Learn how to create plant families that support each other, improving your growing conditions and build biodiversity in your garden.

In this 3 hour workshop, you will learn all about guilds, their benefits and why we should use them more in our permaculture designs and productive edible gardens. We will be looking at established guilds as well as creating new ones and we will help you plan for some fantastic guild combinations to install in your own garden.

We provide a delicious morning tea in the beautiful Greenheart Garden, a working permaculture space in the heart of the Bouddi region.
