Join Hunter Local Land Services for a practical morning in the paddock to discuss the importance of soil structure, identify soil constraints, and explore management options for growing productive pastures.
Event details:
During this practical, hands-on session in a soil pit, you will explore:
soil properties that drive production and soil resilience
soil characteristics of the local region
common soil constraints, including acidity and sodic subsoils
examine plant root growth and what it reveals about soil health
the impacts of soil compaction and potential management options.
Whether you're an experienced landholder or just starting out, this workshop is a must and caters for all experience levels.
