Get your newsroom AI-ready for 2024
Event description
The Walkley Foundation is delighted to present this webinar to help editors and journalists develop strategies for using AI to support newsgathering and content production. We will be joined live from London by Professor Charlie Beckett, director of the JournalismAI Lab in London. Charlie will share findings of a recent global survey of AI use in more than 60 newsrooms.
Professor Beckett will be joined in conversation by Gina McKeon, Editor of the ABC Innovation Lab, and Saffron Howden, National Editorial Training Manager at Australian Community Media.
You will end the session with unique insights into how newsrooms, large and small, are positioning to use AI in 2024. It will be recorded if you can’t join live.
We would love your involvement! You can ask questions via the chatbox during the session, or email them in advance to Corinne Podger, Senior Manager for Programs and Education, at corinne.podger@walkleys.com.
And in 2024, we’ll be running more training on AI, supported by the Walkley Public Fund. If you’d like to contribute to the topics it should cover, please fill in this questionnaire by 15 December.
