Get Your Story Started with Amie Kaufman
Event description
Learn to generate ideas, and flesh them out to create new stories that are ready to write.
This workshop will equip participants with a framework to generate idea after idea, and flesh those ideas out to create stories that are ready to write. Amie will guide you through a process designed to generate an idea, and then identify your protagonist, setting, inciting incident, antagonist and supporting characters, bringing depth to each of these elements to create a layered and compelling story. You’ll leave this session with the bones of your next story down on the page, and an approach you can use time and again in the future.
Learning outcomes
Learn to:
- Generate new story ideas
- Understand the elements of a story.
Format
This is a live stream workshop, with a focus on craft; it will be held online via Zoom. It is a level 1 course and is suitable to attend for writers of all levels: beginners, intermediate and emerging. A 7-day replay will be made available to participants.
