Meet our presenters:

Jason Lehman, CEO-Why'd You Stop Me, prior law enforcement Sergeant

Jason Lehman is a New York City native who spent his formative years in Southern California. Jason attended USF on a football scholarship, showcasing his power on the Bull’s offensive line and graduating in 2004. After graduation, Jason moved back to Los Angeles where he embarked on a nearly two-decade tenure in law enforcement, where he specialized in gang enforcement and operated on numerous tactical teams both as a police officer and a police sergeant. Throughout his career, Jason fought for his mental and physical safety after engaging in deadly force, battling suicide, and withstanding a timeframe of horrible personal decision-making and accountability which almost led to the loss of his freedoms.

Today, Jason is a respected business owner and sought-after keynote speaker, advocating for a transformation from mere duty to genuine desire in actions and intentions. He stands as a leader in the resiliency, wellness, and leadership spaces.
Jason has been featured in print, radio, and on television. He currently consults for prominent organizations such as FOX News and the New York POST. As the founder of the nonprofit, Why'd You Stop Me? Jason's calling from God is to help leaders of all walks of life to embrace conflict and seek to understand one another while reducing acts of violence and improving relationships. Jason holds dual bachelor’s degrees in criminology and communication from USF and a master’s degree in interpersonal communication from Arizona State University.

Danny Ziem, First Responder Training Coordinator at Echelon Front

Danny Ziem is a highly accomplished former Firefighter Paramedic and is currently the First Responder training coordinator at Echelon Front. Danny spent over 16 years in public service and has served in roles including emergency medical services, firefighting, clinical education, technical rescue, and special operations group as a SWAT Medic. Serving with a law enforcement based special operations group has offered Danny the extremely important insight into the life of a law enforcement officer. Danny brings a unique perspective for leadership in high-stress environments and has led others as a field training officer, preceptor, and a member of a first responder instructor cadre. Danny served on his special operations group as part of the leadership core and helped to facilitate the successful rollout of Extreme Ownership principles to his team and upper leadership.

Danny’s ability to build relationships in multi-agency settings has given him an intimate understanding of the Echelon Front principles as well as the ability to recognize opportunities for implementation of other laws of combat leadership. Danny joined Echelon Front full-time in October of 2021 and has personally trained more than 10,000 leaders from the first responder and governmental spaces.

EXTREME OWNERSHIP: #1 NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER
This book explains the SEAL leadership concepts crucial to accomplishing the most difficult missions in combat and how to apply them to any group, team, or organization. It provides the reader with Jocko and Leif’s formula for success: the mindset and guiding principles that enable SEAL combat units to achieve extraordinary results. It demonstrates how to apply these directly to business and life to likewise achieve victory.

ABOUT THE BOOK EXTREME OWNERSHIP:
In Extreme Ownership, Jocko Willink and Leif Babin share hard-hitting, Navy SEAL combat stories that translate into lessons for business and life. With riveting first-hand accounts of making high-pressure decisions as Navy SEAL battlefield leaders, this book is equally gripping for leaders who seek to dominate other arenas. Jocko and Leif served together in SEAL Task Unit Bruiser, the most highly decorated Special Operations unit from the war in Iraq. Their efforts contributed to the historic triumph for U.S. forces in Ramadi. Through those difficult months of sustained combat, Jocko, Leif and their SEAL brothers learned that leadership–at every level–is the most important thing on the battlefield. They started Echelon Front to teach these same leadership principles to companies across industries throughout the business world that want to build their own high-performance, winning teams.

“At this juncture we’ve had the opportunity to teach these principles to thousands and thousands and thousands of people in leadership positions, and what we’ve seen over and over and over again is those leaders taking these principles, applying them inside their organization, and vastly improving the productivity, the efficiency, the effectiveness of their team and of their organization. These principles work. It’s been proven over and over again. So if you want to improve your team, if you want to improve your business, if you want to improve your station in life, take these principles and apply them in your world and you will see improvement.” Jocko Willink
