Getting Off Gas: Choosing Your Appliances

This event has passed Get tickets

Event description

Between instant hot water, induction cooking, and heating/cooling, it can be overwhelming to know where to start when picking an appliance for your all-electric home.

But as each gas appliance needs replacing or upgrading, it is important to know what to look for, how to size it and what is available on the market so that you can act swiftly to replace it.

Join Renew and our expert panel for the second instalment of our getting off gas event series as we discuss the ins and outs of upgrading your appliances to create your all-electric home. We will be covering everything from the most efficient way to heat and cool your home, what to choose when living in apartments or rentals, the truth about cooking with induction, and how to ensure you're always getting reliable and cheap hot water.

Joining us will be all-electric home enthusiast and advocate be Katy Daily, moderator at My Efficient Electric Home (MEEH) and Environment Program Officer at the City of Darebin, as well as Matthew Wright, Executive Director at Pure Electric and formerly the Executive Director of Beyond Zero Emissions. The panel will be convened by Dr Rachel Goldlust, Getting Off Gas toolkit lead and sustainability researcher here at Renew.

We hope you'll join us for the discussion. There will be plenty of opportunity for audience questions. If you have one already, you can submit your question when checking out.

We are so grateful to our Getting Off Gas Toolkit sponsors: Pure Electric (Gold Sponsor), Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action (Silver Sponsor), Be Energy Efficient (Bronze Sponsor), HIP V.
