Community-led action rarely follows a straight line. Sometimes you need a fresh perspective, a useful connection or simply the opportunity to talk through what’s happening with others who understand the challenges of getting ideas underway.

This Open Door Coaching Session is an informal, facilitated space for people working on community-led ideas, projects and initiatives to connect, share experiences and explore practical ways forward.

Building on the Getting Underway – Collaborating for Action webinar, this session creates space to dig a little deeper into the opportunities, questions and challenges that are relevant to you and your community.

What’s on offer?

Bring along something you’d like to explore. It might be:

• an idea you’re trying to get underway

• a challenge or roadblock you’ve encountered

• a question about engaging others or building collaboration

• an opportunity emerging in your community

• a project that needs some fresh thinking

• or simply a desire to hear what others are working on.

There’s no formal presentation and no expectation that you have all the answers.

Instead, we’ll use facilitated conversation and practical coaching to create opportunities for peer learning, reflection and problem-solving.

You’ll have the opportunity to connect with others working in rural communities, learn from their experiences and draw on the support of ACRE facilitators.

Who can attend?

The session is open to people who have participated in ACRE’s Lead a New Future for Your Community workshops and Getting Underway webinar, as well as other community members interested in community-led action.

You don’t need to have attended a previous session to join us.

This is a small, interactive session rather than a webinar, so come prepared to join the conversation.
