Ghostfire Gaming at PAX Australia

Join us for tabletop gaming at PAX Australia! Every day we'll be running games to showcase our setting of Grim Hollow. Set out on a Dungeons & Dragons adventure, or protect your village from the twisted creatures of the forest in the board game Aberration.

Each session is completely free, but spaces are limited.

Grim Hollow is a dark fantasy setting for D&D, built around a world where survival is hard, magic is dangerous, and heroes are forced to confront the darker side of fantasy.

Set in the world of Etharis, Grim Hollow combines traditional fantasy adventure with horror, gothic themes, moral ambiguity, and a world shaped by war, corruption, and supernatural threats.

Play as heroes who can push beyond the limits of ordinary adventurers, take on powerful transformations, and wield abilities that come with real consequences. Explore a world filled with rival factions, ancient powers, terrifying monsters, and stories that challenge what it means to be a hero.

Grim Hollow is D&D for those who want their fantasy darker, their choices harder, and their adventures more dangerous.

Aberration is a cooperative dark-fantasy tower defense board game for 1–4 players, where you must protect a village from waves of monsters while completing objectives and securing key positions before the darkness overwhelms you.

Choose from a range of heroes and classes, each with their own abilities and playstyles, then work together to defend the village against increasingly dangerous Aberrations. With 16 unique scenarios, evolving enemies, and multiple ways to customise your heroes, every game presents a new challenge.

As you fight to keep the village standing, you can strengthen your hero with items and permanent Relics, while dangerous Transformations can grant powerful abilities at a cost. The enemies themselves can also grow stronger as they level up, keeping the pressure on throughout each scenario.
