Goddess Gathering: The Cailleach | Yule/Winter Solstice

The Cailleach is one of many wonderful Crone Goddesses worshiped around the world during the dark half of the year. Cultures across the globe used to venerate older, post-menopausal women as guardians of the sacred knowledge of healing and divination and they were often called upon to help guide decisions about battle. The Cailleach is a Celtic Goddess who ruled over winter, shaped the land, and controlled the weather. She will help us connect to the wise, wild, resilient woman within us all, regardless of our age. This event is limited to 12 attendees. Please purchase your ticket by December 5.

We will gather at The Blackbird House in Wethersfield, CT. We will meet in a private room within this metaphysical shop and powerful healing space. The shop closes at 6, so if you'd like to explore and shop, please arrive early and give yourself time to do so to be respectful of our hosts. There is free parking available on the street or at the public parking lot at the Keeney Memorial Cultural Center down the street.

We will begin promptly at 6pm. If you're anything like me and always running a bit behind 😅, please arrive early to park, shop and settle in so we can begin on time. Thank you! 💖

What to expect at this gathering:

• A brief overview of Yule/Winter Solstice

• Honoring our positive & peaceful female elders, teachers & ancestors

• The Cailleach storytelling - who was The Cailleach? What is Her energy?

• How to embody & honor The Crone archetype

• Ancestral Healing Ritual/Meditation

• The Cailleach's Gift/Medicine: We will be crafting a Winter Balm and you will be gifted a Stone of The Cailleach

What should you bring?

• Journal or paper & something to write with

• Photos or mementos of any of your positive & peaceful female elders/teachers/ancestors you would like to honor, to be placed on our temporary ancestral altar.

• Snacks to share ~ optional! I will provide some light snacks and tea, but feel free to bring your own if you'd like to share with the group. Don't feel pressured, and don't let this stress you out.

What should I wear? Whatever you're comfortable in! Feel free to dress up or down. Just make sure you're comfortable enough to be able to move around, meditate, hear, and see!

What happens if I buy a ticket and I'm no longer able to attend? I purchase materials after the ticket cut-off date. If you've purchased a ticket, but can no longer attend and it's after the cut-off date (1 week before the event), I won't be able to refund your ticket cost, but I will provide you with the Goddess handout and any other materials or "medicines" that attendees received.
