Gheorg Focus Group: Improving Mental Health Access to Support Kids in WA (for Treaters)
Event description
About Gheorg
Gheorg is the friendly robot app that supports kids to manage anxiety, build resilience and reduce stress.
Co-designed with 1,000+ students as well as educators and health professionals, Gheorg empowers kids aged 7-12 years old to improve their emotional intelligence and mental wellbeing.
Over 5,000 families have downloaded the Gheorg app so far and we’re looking to support more kids to feel calm and confident.
Grant to Support Kids with Anxiety in Regional Australia
Gheorg recently received a grant from the WA Government to improve mental health outcomes for kids in remote areas. This new funding for Gheorg will work towards bridging the gap between anxious kids who need help and their mental health professionals allowing them to connect. Gheorg will also be translated into new languages.
As part of this funding, Gheorg is running online 60min workshops via Zoom to discuss how to best support kids with anxiety and other mental health challenges.
During the workshops, we'll discuss:
- How you are coping with Medicare, NDIS & other paperwork
- Problems when onboarding & accessing your patients
- Issues providing effective support & treatment outside sessions
- Challenges providing appropriate support outside of the appointment time
- Important considerations for solutions especially virtual solutions
Workshop time:
- Wednesday 31st August 8am AWST (10am AEDT)
Please note: all online workshops will be recorded.
