Riawunna warmly invites you to join local Aboriginal artist and Utas graduate Joanne Kennedy for a creative afternoon of 'Ghost Netting'

Jo will ensure all participants are aware of marine life protection, coastal conservation and sustainability.

Ghost Netting is the practise of beach/coastline cleansing of fishing apparel and improve the habitat of our precious shellfish, sea creatures and kelp rookeries.

The current Tasmanian Aboriginal community are the guardians of our coastlines and activities like Ghost Netting provides ongoing protection of Lutruwita-Tasmania’s iconic coastlines and beaches for generations to come.

This event also provides an opportunity to find out about Riawunna’s student support services, and how we assist Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, and advice on the Murina Enabling Program.
