Ghost Train
Description
Come on a walk to retrace the original rail line from Oatlands to Parattah with historian Alan Townsend and discover the amazing history of this strange railway with its deaths, derailments and eventual decline. Lunch and light refreshments along the way are included as well as a guided tour of the wonderfully original Parattah Railway Hotel with a free visit to Dunny Can Point thrown in for good measure.
This walk follows the original rail line around Lake Dulverton and on to Parattah. It is a roughly 8km walk on generally level ground; sturdy walking boots are recommended!
All proceeds will be donated to the Midlands Multi-Purpose Health Centre Auxiliary.
