Description

Join Citizen COP Australia for Australia’s Biggest Circular Economy Education Event: The GIANT Circular Economy Collage

Join the largest Circular Economy Collage ever held in the country — a powerful, collective learning experience happening simultaneously in cities and towns across Australia.

From Brisbane to Perth, Sydney to Melbourne, we’re inviting communities to take part in this one-of-a-kind, citizen-powered event. Because understanding how our economy works is essential to building a more sustainable future.

What is The Circular Economy Collage?

The Circular Economy Collage is an interactive workshop designed to help participants understand how our current production and consumption systems work, and explore practical solutions for building a more sustainable, circular future.

Working in small groups, participants will use a set of illustrated cards to piece together the key concepts, challenges, and opportunities of the circular economy. Together, we’ll connect the dots, identify key leverage points, and reflect on how circular thinking can be applied in our personal lives, workplaces, and communities.

Whether you’re new to the topic or already familiar with circular economy principles, this workshop offers a hands-on and engaging way to deepen your understanding and spark new ideas for change.

Why this matters

Our current economic system is largely linear: we take, make, and dispose — placing increasing pressure on natural systems, communities, and future generations.

At Citizen COP Australia, we believe every meaningful conversation and decision about sustainability and the future must begin with a clear understanding of how our economy shapes the world around us. That’s why we’re opening with the Circular Economy Collage — a collaborative workshop that helps participants explore the structure of our economy and imagine more regenerative alternatives through science-based learning and collective reflection.

Whether you're new to the topic or already actively engaged, this workshop will leave you:

✅ Equipped with systems-based understanding of the economy
✅ More confident discussing circular economy solutions
✅ Inspired by collective intelligence and shared learning
✅ Motivated to take meaningful action in your community, workplace, or sector

This workshop is neutral, non-political, and designed to bring people together around systems understanding — and the opportunities we have to redesign how we produce, consume, and value resources.

Let's learn. Let's connect. Let's build a circular future. 🌏

About Citizen COP Australia

Citizen COP Australia is a decentralised, people-powered movement running alongside the global COPs in 2026. Enabled by People For Nature, but intentionally independent and distributed, Citizen COP invites communities, organisations, schools, businesses, artists, and local groups across Australia to host their own events during the COP period. Rather than a single central event, Citizen COP is a nationwide network of conversations, workshops, and actions that bring global climate and nature discussions into local communities. It connects people to science, solutions, and each other, strengthening civic engagement and ensuring citizen voices contribute to Australia’s climate and nature conversations.
