Event description

Come along to learn practical approaches to managing Giant Parramatta Grass and Giant Rat’s Tail Grass, and discover what weeds reveal about your land.

Event details:

Giant Parramatta Grass (GPG) has taken an apparent strangle-hold on many areas, and there is an emerging issue with its close relation, Giant Rat’s Tail Grass.

Join Gwyn Jones, an expert in land management, ecological and plant succession as he leads discussions around alternative approaches to GPG’s control and management.

This event creates a safe space to understand how weeds like GPG can act as indicators of soil conditions and land management practices.

Key Topics

  • What are weeds telling us?

  • Turning weeds “on & off” with different management

  • Prevention over herbicides
