Restore Rodney East is a community-driven initiative, aimed at supporting local conservation-based groups and projects to achieve their respective missions and goals.

Over the last decade, there has been a growing national and local awareness of the impacts of invasive species and human development on our precious and unique ecosystems of Aotearoa New Zealand. Rodney East has one of the highest densities of groups working towards achieving pest-free status – our initiative is bringing the many projects closer together in order to be more collaborative, consistent, and effective. 🤝

🌿 The Sculpture Experience

Nestled in the breathtaking Kaipara Harbour, just north of Auckland, Gibbs Farm is an expansive, open-air sculpture park unlike any other. As you wander at your own pace across manicured fields, you’ll encounter colossal sculptures, some towering like skyscrapers in a rural setting, each commanding attention in the vast landscape.

Home to the greatest collection of large-scale outdoor sculptures in the country, the park boasts major site-specific commissions by some of the world’s most renowned artists. Every piece is carefully placed to interact with the land, sky, and sea, creating a truly immersive experience where art and nature blend seamlessly.

Feel the immensity of the sculptures, embrace the vastness of the landscape, and let your imagination run wild. This is art on a scale like no other—a place where creativity knows no bounds and where every step reveals something unexpected and awe-inspiring.

🚗 Getting There & What to Bring

• Make your way there by personal vehicle
• Bring your own picnic lunch and drink for the day
• The park is a 3-to-4-hour walking experience – you can stay on the formed farm tracks or cut across the fields, or stop and sit for a while, spending your time enjoying the views 
• We recommend:

✅ Comfortable walking shoes
✅ All-weather gear
✅ Hat, sunblock & water 🌞🌧️

• Rain or shine, be prepared!

• Gibbs Farm is a private property open by appointment only
• Tickets are ‘Non-transferable’ and Non-refundable
• 🎟️ No entry fee applicable when visiting Gibbs Farm
• 🦆 There are large lakes and ponds, so children must be supervised at all times
• 🐑 You will encounter animals at several locations on the property
