Gilli Gurung Opening Night
Event description
Gilli Gurung (Bright Child, Child Belonging to Light - Darug Language) is an exhibition where artists have been asked to reflect on their personal experiences, culture, and Country. The works deliver a simple message to the artists’ inner child to help them on their journey and give them strength from within. The messages and artworks are the very representation of the artists’ resilience, strength, and inner love.
This exhibition is curated by Wiradjuri woman, Jedda Ruby Riley and features works by Boomalli’s members, who are from Aboriginal language groups across NSW.
The exhibition opens on Thursday 8th May at 6pm and will include a performance by Akala Newman.
The exhibition will continue until Saturday 12th July.
